ELAN’s upcoming Intercom feature will deliver several game-changing new benefits. It will enable full duplex point to point communication and paging from any g! interface, including mobile apps. This powerful video intercom feature also integrates 3rd party Intercom Door/Gate entry products, IP cameras, and multi-room audio systems. With Intercom, your customers can ‘answer’ the door from any touch panel in the home, or from anywhere in the world on their mobile device. The intercom feature allows integrators to link multiple ELAN Touch Panels into a single intercom interface. Connecting with the family across the room – or across the world – is better with video. The ELAN Intercom feature will stream video from any compatible door station, IP camera, mobile device, or ELAN touch panel along with full duplex audio. The ELAN g! system will automatically adjust the video stream to ensure uninterrupted streaming based on the available bandwidth and resolution capabilities of the interface being used. The intercom feature adds a whole new app icon to the home screen of the ELAN g! interface. Integrators can set the behavior of each panel in the g! Configurator. Individual privacy features like do not disturb, audio only, and auto answer can be set by users. Best of all, the ELAN Intercom feature comes as a built in part of the upcoming 7.2 release. There is no additional cost to upgrade or access this feature.
